Minho was only 7 months old.
He was a small black-and-white puppy with innocent eyes and a heart that still believed every human hand was meant to comfort him. He did not understand anger. He did not understand cruelty. He only knew how to wag his tail, look up with trust, and hope to be loved.
But on that day, everything changed.
The man grabbed Minho in a fit of rage. The little puppy struggled helplessly in his arms, his tiny paws trembling in the air. Minho looked up at him with terrified eyes, as if silently begging, “Please don’t hurt me.”
But the man did not stop.
Without hesitation, he threw Minho down onto the hard concrete road.
The sound of the impact was heartbreaking.

Minho’s small body hit the ground with force. Dust clung to his black-and-white fur. Blood stained the fur around his mouth. For a few seconds, the little puppy did not move.
Then, somehow, he tried.
With the last bit of strength in his tiny body, Minho pushed his front paws against the concrete. His legs shook violently. His breathing was weak. His eyes were filled with pain and confusion.
He took one step.
Then another.
But after only a few painful steps, his body gave out.
Minho collapsed onto the road.
His little tail, which had once wagged happily at the sound of a familiar voice, now lay still behind him. His mouth was stained with blood. His fur was dirty, his body broken, and yet his eyes remained half-open, as if he was still waiting for someone to come and save him.
Across the street, a woman had seen everything.
She stood frozen for a moment, horrified by what had just happened. Then, with shaking hands, she pulled out her phone and called the police. Her voice trembled as she reported the abuse, unable to take her eyes off the injured puppy lying helplessly on the concrete.
Minutes later, a police car arrived.
The officers stepped out and quickly approached the scene. They saw Minho lying on the road, barely moving. Then they turned to the man. After hearing the woman’s statement and seeing the puppy’s condition, they took the man into custody and led him away to the police station.
The car door closed.
The man was gone.
But Minho was still there.
Still lying on the cold concrete.
Still breathing weakly.

Still fighting for his life.
The woman knelt beside him, tears filling her eyes. She did not dare pick him up, afraid of hurting him even more. Instead, she placed her hand gently near his head, letting him know he was no longer alone.
Minho slowly opened his eyes.
Even after everything he had suffered, he still looked at her with a tiny spark of trust.
And that was what broke her heart the most.
Because even after being betrayed by a human, Minho still believed another human might save him.
On that cold stretch of concrete, a 7-month-old puppy had been left broken and bleeding. But beside him, a stranger refused to walk away.
Minho’s body was weak.
His breathing was fading.
And his fight to survive had only just begun.
