Two Small Lives Against a Raging Flood
The floodwaters moved like a monster through the empty streets.
Heavy rain had caused the river to overflow during the night, turning roads into violent streams of brown water filled with mud, broken branches, and debris.
In the middle of the chaos, a golden mother dog struggled desperately to stay above the rushing current while trying to protect her tiny puppy beside her.
The water slammed against their bodies again and again.

Inside the truck, the tiny puppy immediately crawled against his mother’s chest while she weakly licked the top of his head as if reassuring him that the nightmare was finally over.
