Hounds In Pounds stepped in and transported her to a veterinary hospital, where she was placed under general anesthesia so doctors could properly clean, treat, and close her wounds.
For the first time in a long time, Lulu Lavender was no longer being left to suffer.
Her Body Told the Story of Long Neglect
Veterinarians discovered that Lulu Lavender had endured more than the embedded chain.
She was a young dog who had already been bred repeatedly. She was also heartworm positive, a sign that she had likely spent her days and nights outdoors without basic preventive care.

But even after all of that, Lulu Lavender remained gentle.
