The little dog had soft white fur that once looked as bright as fresh snow.
Months of wandering the streets had left his coat covered with dust and dirt.
Near one shoulder, a small wound had stained part of his white fur, making him look even more fragile.
Yet his gentle brown eyes were still filled with hope.
Every day he wandered from street to street searching for scraps of food.
One quiet afternoon, he discovered an old abandoned house standing alone at the end of a narrow road.
The front door was slightly open.
Thinking there might be food inside, the little dog carefully stepped into the dark building.
Broken furniture lay scattered across the dusty floor.
Sunlight slipped through cracked windows.

The little dog sniffed every corner.
There was nothing.
Just as he turned to leave, a strong gust of wind slammed the heavy wooden door shut.
The loud bang echoed through the empty house.
Startled, the little dog rushed toward the door.
He pushed it with his nose.
Nothing happened.
He scratched at the old wood with both front paws.
Again.
And again.
The door refused to move.
His frightened barks echoed through the empty rooms.
No one answered.
As darkness slowly filled the house, the little dog became more desperate.
He scratched until his paws became sore.
He barked until his voice grew hoarse.
Still…
No footsteps came.
No door opened.
Outside, heavy rain began falling.
Thunder rolled across the sky.
The abandoned house creaked beneath the powerful wind.
The frightened little dog curled into a corner, trembling.
Every loud crack made him jump.
Then a deep rumble shook the building.
A weakened section of the old wall suddenly collapsed, sending bricks and broken wood crashing into the room.
Dust filled the air.
The little dog was trapped beneath the fallen debris.
He let out a weak cry.
Unable to move, he rested his head on the cold floor while rainwater dripped through the broken roof.
The night felt endless.
Early the next morning, a man walking nearby noticed part of the abandoned house had collapsed.
As he passed, he thought he heard a faint whimper.
He stopped and listened.
There it was again.
A tiny cry for help.
He immediately called the local animal rescue team.
Within minutes, rescuers arrived and carefully searched through the unstable building.
One rescuer suddenly shouted,
“I found him!”
Working slowly, they lifted the broken bricks and pieces of timber one by one.
Beneath the rubble lay the little white dog.
His fur was dusty, and the small wound on his shoulder was visible beneath the dirt.

He was frightened and exhausted.
But when a rescuer gently reached toward him, his tiny tail moved ever so slightly.
It was the first sign that he still trusted someone.
Wrapped in a warm blanket, he was carefully carried to a veterinary clinic.
The veterinarians treated his injuries, cleaned his fur, and gave him plenty of food, water, and rest.
For several days he slept peacefully, knowing he was finally safe.
Weeks later, his white coat had become bright again.
The wound had healed.
The fear in his eyes had disappeared.
One sunny afternoon, he ran freely across a grassy field at the rescue center.
No locked doors.
No dark rooms.
No collapsing walls.
Only warm sunshine…
Fresh air…
And people who promised that he would never be left alone in the darkness again.
